MANILA - Everything is set for the third and final Commission on Elections-sanctioned presidential debate on Sunday at the University of Pangasinan.

ABS-CBN News, Manila Bulletin, and the Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster ng Pilipinas held the first of two media briefings at the Comelec headquarters to update the public on the preparations for the final debate.

ABS-CBN News chief Ging Reyes said all five presidential candidates have confirmed their attendance in the debate, which will be conducted using the town hall format.

Reyes explained that the town hall format makes the final debate different from the previous debates as this would allow common Filipinos to ask the presidential bets their own questions.

Prior to the debate, thousands of netizens submitted their questions to ABS-CBN News. Out of this number, seven people were selected to go to Pangasinan to personally ask their question to the candidates.

Candidates will also be given the chance to go head to head with each other by asking a fellow candidate of their choice their own questions.

There will be seven topics that will be discussed on Sunday. These are: foreign policy, health, jobs, Mindanao peace situation, traffic, education, and overseas Filipino workers.

The debate will be hosted by Karen Davila and Tony Velasquez.

The debate will start at 6 p.m. on ABS-CBN and it will be simulcast on ANC and DZMM. It will also be livestreamed on news.abs-cbn.com/live

There will also be a pre-debate show at 5 P.M. to be shown on ANC.
