A total of 50 websites uploaded the controversial sex videos of embattled cosmetic surgeon Hayden Kho, a source from the National Bureau of Investigation said Tuesday.
NBI investigators said they are close to identifying who actually uploaded the videos after tracing which sites first hosted them and asking for help from the website host.
The agency is also asking for footage and aired material on the breakup of Kho and Dr. Vicki Belo, which occurred months before the sex video scandal first broke.
They said the footage and other statements issued by Kho, Belo, actress Katrina Halili and two other individuals linked to the scandal will help investigators to determine the motive behind the posting of the videos.
Halili on Monday sued Belo, engineer Eric Johnston Chua and Dr. Mark Herbert Rosario for uploading on the Internet videos of her making love to Kho.
Belo is the former girlfriend of Kho who has been charged by the National Bureau of Investigation last week with violation of RA 9262, which penalizes violence against women and children.
Halili said it was Chua who implicated Belo when she instructed him to copy and save the videos to a USB before deleting the videos in Kho’s laptop.
