Couple ambushed in Ilocos Norte

Police were facing a blank wall on the killing of a couple by an unidentified gunman in San Nicolas town in Ilocos Norte.
Police investigation showed that Rolando and Elvie Salumvides were onboard their car and were nearly meters from arriving at their house in Barangay San Agustin in San Nicolas town when a gunman appeared and shot Rolando who was at the driver’s seat. Elvie, who was at the front passenger seat was also shot.
The unidentified gunman reportedly used a carbine rifle.
Two other passengers at the backseat of the vehicle were not harmed.
Police admitted that they are facing difficulty on the case since they said they do not have any record of the couple involved in any illegal activity. From a report by Victor Andal, ABS-CBN Ilocos
