MANILA -- Singer Angeline Quinto could not contain her emotions as she shared her excitement of finally doing a major concert with her "forever" idol, Regine Velasquez.

Also part of the Valentine concert "Royals" are Martin Nievera and Quinto's rumored boyfriend Erik Santos. It will be the first time for the four singers to team up in one major show.

In a press conference on Wednesday, Quinto became teary-eyed as she talked about Velasquez.

"Hanggang ngayon ganito ako kasi sabi ko nga po sa lahat ng mga tao siguro habangbuhay na 'yung pagiging idol ko sa kanya. Happy lang ako. Naiyak tuloy ako. Masayang masaya lang po talaga ako," Quinto said.

For her part, Velasquez pointed out that Quinto, like her, also started as a contestant in a TV talent show.

"I'm very touched by what she said. Nakakatuwa din na nakita ko siya kung paano siya nagsimula. Ngayon star na siya, si Angeline Quinto na siya, so nakakatuwa naman at mayroon pa din siyang ganoon sa akin. Nakakatuwa yon," Velasquez said.

"We are good friends," Velasquez continued. "Nagte-text 'yan sa akin just to say, 'I love you Ms. Reg.' Natutuwa ako sa kanila. Nakita niyo naman na very genuine ang kanyang pagmamahal sa akin, which is very flattering. I don't know what I did to deserve that but I'm certainly very, very happy and I love her also. She's a wonderful girl and she's hardworking and I'm so happy that we will be working together."

"Royals," which is produced by Starmedia Entertainment, will happen on February 13 at the Mall of Asia Arena and on February 14 at the Waterfront Hotel and Casino, Cebu City.
